Mirabilia - Blind Box Collectibles Original Project - Arihel van Yura

I created Mirabilia to explore the many forms of imagination and to show how the inner child can overcome dark moments through creativity. Inspired by Pascoli’s poetic vision of the Fanciullino, they follow a shape‑shifting sprite rooted also in Italian folklore, (through, for example, the figure of Avurie and Orso Carnevalesco) celebrating the rediscovery of our inner child and the creative spark that guides us.
That’s why Mirabilia’s form evokes both a flame and a tear — because creativity so often rises from melancholy.

Their journey through the realm of imagination is guided by Ignitis, their friend and the flame of creativity who grants Mirabilia the power to transform. In her humanoid form, Ignitis appears in a more chibi‑like style, symbolizing how creativity can reshape the world around us and transform our perception of life.

This dynamic between Mirabilia and Ignitis recalls ancient philosophical and mythological ideas. Just like the Demiurge — the figure that inspired Secret in the main series "Genesis of Mirabilia" — who in Platonic thought shapes the cosmos by giving form to the formless, Ignitis acts as the creative force that helps Mirabilia mold their inner world, transforming raw emotion into new shapes and possibilities. Mirabilia, ever‑changing and fluid, also echoes the trickster spirits and nature beings found in many cultures — entities that shift form to reveal hidden truths, bridge worlds, and remind us that imagination is a living, transformative power.

Together, Mirabilia and Ignitis embody the eternal dance between inspiration and creation, melancholy and rebirth — a mythic journey in which the inner child becomes both wanderer and world‑builder.
