This is a portrait I drew of one of my original characters, Ariel, they is an hybridus wind sylph, based on the Sylph of the same name in Shakespeare's The Tempest. I wanted to give they an ethereal appearance, for this reason the background is barely visible and the skin is almost luminous, eyes are without pupils, they is an almost incorporeal being, despite the fact that here they has a temporary body, it was interesting to be able to give this typology of appearance in digital art, since I started by drawing them as if he were human and then I instead changed they appearance making they a sylph, adding brightness to them eyes, I wanted them to seem indecipherable, exactly like their nature.
